My calling is all about helping visionary Mission Leaders who want to impact their communities with the love of Christ and make disciples — but who struggle under external pressure to perform, systems at odds with their values, and the never-ending push for “more.”
Through my lived experience of cross-cultural mission growth, spiritual formation, and coaching, I guide mission leaders so they experience the calling they were created for — enjoying God and their people along the way. I combine personalized guidance with contextualized, system-level guidance, so you and your leaders can grow capable teams and ministry doesn’t rest on one person’s shoulders.

My Story · My Why
An unlikely missionary.
I’m an unlikely “missionary,” and I responded to God’s calling in unlikely ways. I started “under-cover” in closed Communist countries. Soon I was openly a church-planting leader — getting a target on my back from hostile religious leaders. Training volunteers and vocational missionaries was always part of my job.
One secret I found in my four decades of mission is this: always increase the capacity of those “under” me who do the mission. I always aimed to work myself out of a job. That meant more people heard the gospel and became community transformers. Now I help visionary missional leaders in the US and international settings fulfill their commitment to the Great Commission — without losing their integrity or spiritual grounding.
Our work was demanding. Sometimes the bigger struggle was keeping the multiplying of disciples at the center, when our sending and receiving cultures wanted numbers or power-based outcomes. Yet I have seen the power of being true to God’s love succeed. It gives me the perception to recognize you — the gold that God put inside of you, and the precious response you bring to the table.
